research

My research bridges cultural and medical anthropology, practical bioethics, feminist science and technology studies, and socio-environmental justice. Over the past two decades, I have led research on a range of topics that bring together social justice theory, ethics, and participatory methodologies and reflects on their translation into health and medicine, including: the politics and practices of participatory methodologies in medicine and environmental health; socio-ethical approaches to artificial intelligence; digital self-care practices; solidarity in the COVID-19 pandemic; environmental harm and extraction. I am committed to integrating graphic methodologies into qualitative and ethical research.
